Angwarba (under-sea spring water)


Angwarba noun Ena angwarba ekirra akina akungwa-langwa nuwambilya-ma angwujira-manja wilyarra makarda-manja.


Angwarba means ‘fresh water’ / ‘spring water’ that lives in the middle of the sea. The water pumps up in the middle of the sea, and when people used to didn't find any water, they used to search around on the sea and when they saw this thing (that) bubbles up - that's water, in the sea. The sea has its own salt taste (but) the water itself that comes out, that's angwarba.
